(NEW ORLEANS - May 20, 2019) All the pieces for building a healthier community came together as leadership from UnitedHealthcare announced a $1 million grant to continue support of the Daughters of Charity Health Centers Care Fellowship. The initiative, which launched in 2018 with a $1.5 million grant from UnitedHealthcare, is part of the company’s Empowering Health commitment to make an impact on the health of communities by providing significant funding to address social determinants of health in high-risk and high-need areas.
